DRAGONFLY FARM SHOP + CAFE
Dragonfly Farm Shop + Cafe project is situated within the village of Speldhurst, to the west of Tunbridge Wells in a rural area.
Taking cues from the traditional Oast House form, the design is characterised by twin peaked roof structures, providing vaulted spaces for the farm shop and cafe below. A central semi external walkway serves as a main entrance to the farm shop and cafe while also allowing visitors to flow freely to the nursery space and rear courtyard beyond.
The farm shop will offer produce which has been grown on site as well as produce brought in from the local area and the Cafe will provide a desirable local amenity space.
The buildings will be finished in timber cladding, local Wealden stone cladding and a standing seam Zinc roof system. The vertical timber cladding will be encouraged to weather over time and the rich texture of Wealden stone will set the buildings into their historical context.
